Our number 1 goal at Bliss Water Care, LLC, is a satisfied customer. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee storewide. In almost all cases, we will provide a refund in the case that you are not satisfied within this time window, however, due to the unique nature of pool and spa chemicals, we have specific guidelines for returns to ensure safety and compliance with transportation laws.

Applicability

This return policy applies to all chemical products purchased from Bliss Pool Care (blisspoolcare.com) and Bliss Spa Care (blissspacare.com) or the Bliss Pool or Bliss Spa mobile applications. We maintain a strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards across both platforms.

Non-Returnable Chemical Products (DOT Regulations)

No Returns on Pool or Spa Chemicals: Due to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety guidelines, chemical products are generally not returnable once delivered. Many pool and spa chemicals are classified as hazardous materials and strict transportation rules prohibit the return shipment of these items. This policy is in place to ensure compliance with hazmat shipping laws and to protect the safety of our customers, employees and carriers. Please do not attempt to send back any chemical product without authorization, as we cannot accept unauthorized returns of hazardous goods and improper return shipping may violate federal regulations.

Requesting a Refund or Replacement (30 Day Window)

While we cannot physically take back chemical products, we are committed to your satisfaction. If you experience a problem with a chemical product (for example, if it arrived damaged, defective, or is otherwise unusable), please contact our customer service team via email to request a resolution. We encourage you to reach out within 30 days of delivery to be eligible for a refund or replacement. In many cases, we can accommodate a refund or send a replacement without requiring you to return the original item. This approach aligns with hazardous material handling best practices (often, providing a refund or replacement without a return is the safest solution for chemical products).

All refund or replacement requests for chemical products are subject to case by case review. During the review process, we may request additional information to help evaluate your claim and ensure regulatory compliance. For example, we might ask for:

  • Proof of Purchase: e.g. your order confirmation or receipt.
  • Product Details: the lot number, batch code, or expiration date of the product.
  • Photographic Evidence: photos of any damage, leaks, or defects in the product or its packaging.

Please note that requests made beyond 30 days from delivery may not be approved, except at our discretion or if required by law.

Opened Products

Please contact us directly to discuss your reasons and next steps. For health and safety reasons, we cannot resell any opened or used pool and spa products. Therefore, we do not accept any returns of opened products, regardless of type. Even if you only used a small amount of a chemical or opened a bottle to realize it’s the wrong item, we cannot take it back. Please dispose of it according to the product instructions or local guidelines if you don’t want it or you can contact us for advice. 

Resolution and Discretion

If your request is approved, we will offer either a full refund to your original payment method or send a replacement product at no additional cost, depending on the circumstances. As previously mentioned, for safety reasons and due to DOT shipping restrictions, we will not accept returns. Instead, we will provide guidance on proper disposal or handling of any unusable product if necessary. All resolutions are provided in accordance with applicable regulations and our internal policies. Our goal is to be fair and responsive, but we reserve the right to decline a refund/replacement request if it does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy.
